Ken Chertow has been so kind as to give us some coaching tips to pass on to all you illinoiswrestling.com visitors. Check out this brief bio on Ken and then scroll down to the tips he's given us.

Ken has found success at all levels of comeptition, both as a competitor and a coach. After winning 2 State Championships and Outstanding Wrestler Awards, Ken culminated his prep career by winning Junior Nationals in both freestyle and Greco and the Junior World Championship. While studying and training at Penn State, Ken was a 3x All-American, World Espior Champion, Pan American Champion and 1988 U.S. Olympian.

Ken returned to Penn State in 1993 and joined the Nittany Lion Coaching Staff. Ken's team won the National Dual Meet Championship and was 2nd in the NCAA Championships. In 1994 Ken left college coaching to devote his time to helping young people. He opened the Olympian Wrestling School in Huntington, West Virginia. Last year Ken moved his family to State College, PA and opened a 2nd Olympian Wrestling School. Ken's summer camp draws and develops MANY CHAMPIONS.
